Terms & Conditions

Last updated: [Effective date to be confirmed]

Draft legal template. This document is a starting draft for AutoDGR and must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication. Highlighted items in [brackets] require business confirmation.

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AutoDGR website and the AutoDGR software-as-a-service platform (together, the “Service”), provided by [legal entity name] (“AutoDGR”, “we”, “us”).

By accessing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Description of services

AutoDGR is a documentation-support tool that helps users prepare IATA Shipper's Declarations for Dangerous Goods (“DGD”) from the information they enter. Features include Proper Shipping Name (“PSN”) search, validation against configured regulatory rules, aircraft eligibility checks, packing calculations, label and marking identification, package visualization, PDF generation and shipment history.

We may change, add or remove features from time to time.

3. Eligibility, certification and account security

Required certification. To access and use AutoDGR, each user must have successfully completed IATA DGR CBTA 7.1 (Dangerous Goods Regulations Competency-Based Training and Assessment) and hold a valid certificate. We may ask for evidence of this certification at any time.

Authorized signatories. Every DGD prepared using AutoDGR must be signed only by suitably qualified and certified personnel, in accordance with the applicable dangerous goods regulations.

Account security. Login credentials (user ID and password) are personal and non-transferable. Each account may be used by one named individual only, and credentials must not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [contact email] of any unauthorized use.

4. Trial period and data restrictions

Trial duration. Eligible users may use a trial version of AutoDGR for up to 10 consecutive days from the date of registration.

Database limitations. The trial version uses a restricted database and does not provide access to the full live operational features of the Service.

Moving to a paid subscription. Use of AutoDGR after the 10-day trial requires a paid subscription. Operational use of the Service outside the trial is permitted only for paying customers.

5. Fees, payment and subscription renewal

Subscription plans. AutoDGR is offered on the plans described on our Pricing page, currently:

  • Starter Pack: USD 390 per user per year, or USD 39 per user per month on a pay-as-you-go basis, with up to 20 preferred PSNs;
  • Professional Pack: USD 1,500 per year, or USD 150 per month, for 5 user accounts, with up to 30 preferred PSNs;
  • Enterprise Pack: custom pricing agreed in writing.

Payment and renewal. Yearly subscriptions are billed annually and monthly subscriptions are billed monthly. Payment must be received in full before a subscription is activated or renewed. If payment is not received by the renewal date, access to the full Service may be suspended until it is.

Preferred PSNs. Paid subscribers may set up the number of preferred PSN entries included in their plan. These entries are configured in the system once the initial payment has been received.

[Taxes, accepted payment methods, refund and cancellation policy to be confirmed]

6. Permitted use

You may use the Service only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • copy, resell, sublicense or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law permits;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems;
  • use the Service to transmit malicious code or unlawful content;
  • extract or reproduce regulatory data from the Service in bulk.

7. Document printing

You may print DGDs generated by the Service for official submission to aircraft operators and freight forwarders. The ability to print a DGD does not mean that AutoDGR has reviewed or approved the shipment or the declaration for regulatory compliance.

8. Data input and typographical errors

AutoDGR processes the information that users enter. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of that information. AutoDGR accepts no liability for fines, delays, rejections or safety incidents resulting from typographical errors, incorrect data entry or misuse of the Service.

9. Regulatory compliance and user responsibility

AutoDGR is not affiliated with, certified by or endorsed by IATA or any regulatory authority unless expressly stated in writing. Outputs from the Service are aids to preparation. They are not legal or regulatory advice and do not guarantee compliance.

You remain solely responsible for verifying all shipment information; correctly classifying, packing, marking, labelling and documenting dangerous goods; and making sure that each declaration complies with the requirements of the relevant civil aviation authorities, including State and operator variations for the countries of origin, transit and destination.

10. Accuracy and availability of regulatory data

We take reasonable steps to keep the regulatory data in the Service accurate and current. However, regulations change, and data may contain errors, omissions or delays in updating. Where supported, the Service indicates the regulatory edition in use. You should check outputs against the current official regulations.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text and graphics (but excluding Customer Data), is owned by AutoDGR or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your trial or subscription.

12. Data ownership

You retain ownership of the shipment information and documents you enter into or generate with the Service (“Customer Data”). You grant us a licence to host, process and display Customer Data only as needed to provide and support the Service. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Confidentiality

Each party will protect the other party's non-public information that is identified as confidential, or would reasonably be understood to be confidential, using at least reasonable care. Each party will use that information only to perform its obligations under these Terms.

14. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable during maintenance, updates or events outside our reasonable control. [Any service-level commitment to be confirmed]

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoDGR will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. [Liability cap and exclusions to be drafted by legal counsel]

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify AutoDGR against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or dangerous goods shipments you prepare, tender or sign using the Service. [Scope to be confirmed by legal counsel]

17. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, including by sharing login credentials or by not paying fees when due. On termination, your right to use the Service ends. [Data export period and post-termination data deletion to be confirmed]

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. Disputes will be resolved in [courts or arbitration forum].

19. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms, including our plans and prices, from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. For material changes we will give reasonable notice. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
